Sign PDF places a visible signature label on selected pages of a PDF document. It is useful for simple approvals, personal copies, and informal sign-off workflows, but it is not a certificate-based electronic signature.
Not every signature workflow needs a full e-signature platform. Sometimes you only need a visible name, initials, or approval mark on a PDF before sending it back by email or archiving a personal copy. Sign PDF adds that visible signature label directly onto the page area you choose, then lets you download a new file. Because signing runs in your browser, the document stays on your device during the process. This is not the same as a qualified electronic signature with identity verification, timestamp authority, or tamper-evident certificate chains. Use it for informal approvals, internal acknowledgments, and personal document copies where a visual mark is enough. For regulated contracts, notarized agreements, or enterprise compliance workflows, use a dedicated certified e-signature provider instead.
